Later today, you will receive an email to signup for Parent Teacher Conferences. I hope I can meet with every family. It really helps me to give you an idea of how I see your student academically, spiritually, and emotionally, so we can work together to create an amazing school year.
Thank you to the chaperones for joining us at the Oregon Food Bank service project. We all worked hard to pack over 3,000 pounds of frozen pasta with green beans and carrots (which worked out to an average of 38 meals per volunteer). Everyone worked together cooperatively and enthusiastically. The students were wonderful representatives of Christ to the others there at the food bank.
Sometime in the first part of December, we will be participating in the preliminary classroom evaluation portion of the National Geographic Geography Bee which is open to grades 4-8 nationwide. (There is no grade associated with this!) If your student would like to visit the website to prepare or study, there are sample questions located at http://www.nationalgeographic.com/geobee/ . Again, this is an optional activity, but all students will be asked the preliminary Bee questions.
