Week 16 Newsletter

Well, last week was a bust!  We will try to get into the swing of things again after our second Winter Break. 😃

Last week, your student will receive the latest book report assignment.  For this project, they will have three parts that are due on January 25th.  First, they will be allowed to present any project they wish to create.  Second, they will create a 8 to 12 summary of their book.  Lastly, they will create a 4-6 sentence recommendation which will be displayed in the classroom for others to see about their book.  An information sheet will be coming home this week and should answer all questions.

If your child is interested in playing the recorder for the Patriotic Program they need to get their recorder slip in ASAP - Wednesday!

In science, we have started a new unit on magnetism and electricity.  In one of the science labs soon, they will need to use 2 D-size batteries.  Please send them to school with your student in a labeled bag and they will return in about a month.

Hopefully you got my note last week that our Chapel has been postponed until Feb. 8.  Please plan to join us that day, if you can.

No spelling words this week due to shortened week.
