I am very excited to see all of the student’s state floats tomorrow. These students never cease to impress me with their creativity. Everyone is invited to our parade on Thursday at 2:20. If you want to join us, please park on in any open spot in the parking lot or on the north side of the track. The gates will open around 2:00 on that day. Please plan on taking the floats home on that day. The parade should be over by 2:45.
On Monday, June 12, the 7th annual Killian Pancake Breakfast will be served. Please contact the room moms if you have any questions. Additionally, there will be a talent show at the end of the breakfast. Students will be bringing home a permission slip today. If they are performing, I would like a parent signature so you know that they are performing. Additionally, all students should bring a sturdy bag to bring all of their items home on Monday. A reusable grocery bag typically works quite well.
This is the last busy week as we come to the end of teaching units and the end of the school year. Please continue to keep a structured homework/study time, and be sure your fourth grader is getting plenty of sleep each night. Students are nearing the finish line for fourth grade, but they are not quite there. As they see the finish line approaching, please help them to run the last full week of school with endurance and dedication.
As the year draws to a close, please note that all late or absent work needs to be turned in no later than this Friday. If there are extenuating circumstances, please let me know as soon as possible so we can work out an alternate solution.
Do you want to simplify purchasing school supplies for next year? Grade specific school supply kits are available for ordering now through mid-June, 2016. To order a kit for your child, please visit www.shopttkits.com and use account login 91621. Please note: Because there are a few items needed that are not available in the kits, be sure to check the class supply lists on the school website for additional items such as: P.E. clothes, Bibles, and student choice of class organizational method. Here is a link to the W.H.C.S. supply list web page.
The annual book swap continues through Friday of this week. So bring in those books you are finished with and swap them out for another good book to read. It is a great way to get ready for summer reading!
